Audience: Executives, managers, professionals, supervisors

Duration: 4 hours
When we communicate with others, they listen to our words and our actions. In this course, participants learn to articulate how power emerges in conversations through controlling communication (both through discursive closure and nonverbals) and relational power. Participants will create scenarios of discursive closure and counteract with more open communication. We’ll also practice nonverbal “clusters” with a range of power dynamics (open vs. closed, passive vs. aggressive, etc.). Through this training session, leaders will learn to improve their communication competencies, better contribute to just culture and practice the language of caring.
