Secondary Trauma, Self-Care and the Holidays

Secondary Trauma, Self-Care and the Holidays
Thursday, December 6, 2018 - 2:00pm

For many of the victims we work with, the holidays can be a difficult time. While self-care is always important, it is particularly so during the winter holidays if your caseload has a high percentage of trauma survivors. Join the Nebraska Victim Assistance Academy (NEVAA) to learn more about vulnerability to secondary trauma and how to take care of yourself over the next few months.

NEVAA has been a grant-funded program that brings training to students and professionals who work with victims of crime and has served more than 200 advocates in the Nebraska community since its launch in 2013. In October 2018, NEVAA became a Creighton University program that offers nationally accredited training to students and professionals who work with (or will work with) victims of crime.

Self-care giveaways available at the event.

Cost: $75 per person
