  • Describe Creighton CON’s global involvement, both abroad and locally
  • Identify CU Global Health Initiatives and funding
  • Acknowledge the need for nurses to understand global health issues
  • Identify the mission and vision of the Institute for Latin American Concern (ILAC)
  • Describe the role of nursing students and the inter-professional experiences in the ILAC summer program
  • Examine various concepts of health and caring in Austria and Hungary from a nursing perspective
  • Explore how integrated care systems in Austria and Hungary influence health outcomes
  • Describe the Creighton Global Initiative and its relationship to the Hunger and Health Care in Sub-Saharan Africa faculty led program abroad (FLPA)
  • Discuss the on-line preparation course for student participants in a FLPA trip to Zambia
  • Discuss the on-campus dissemination strategy for students’ Hunger and Health Care Projects
  • Identify the universities that have had exchanges with students and faculty from the College of Nursing
  • Discuss interactions of Chinese students while visiting the CON campus, as compared to CON student experiences in China.
  • Describe common threads of safety and quality in providing care for patients in China and the U.S.
  • Describe the various barriers to accessing healthcare in Tanzania from both an urban and rural perspective.
  • Compare and contrast the limited healthcare resources in a developing country such as Tanzania to the unlimited resources in the United States.
